I'm glad to work in coordination with pediatricians and other providers on request — and with the family's consent in each case.
That might mean joining a team meeting, contributing to an IEP or IFSP discussion, comparing notes with a speech therapist working on overlapping goals, or simply a phone call. What form it takes we agree case by case, based on what's actually useful for the child, rather than by a standing policy.

Not the right referral for
- Formal diagnostic evaluation — I don't diagnose
- Children whose therapy depends on specialized clinic equipment as its core
- Speech-language or physical therapy needs (happy to redirect)
- Families who need services billed directly to insurance — a clinic in network will cost them less
- Acute medical or mental health crisis
Conditions and profiles
I've worked with children across a wide range of neurodevelopmental, genetic and medical profiles, including autistic children, children with ADHD, global and specific developmental delay, genetic conditions, prematurity, and children with no diagnosis at all. My practice is neuroaffirmative — goals are framed around participation and wellbeing rather than around presenting as neurotypical, and I don't work on suppressing stimming or enforcing eye contact.
Because I don't require a diagnosis to begin, a referral doesn't need to wait on one.
How to refer.
- Give the family my details. That's genuinely enough — no form, no referral letter, no authorization. They call or email me, we talk it through at no cost, and we work out whether it's a fit.
- Or contact me first if you'd rather check the fit before raising it with them. Quicker for everyone if it turns out I'm not the right person.
- Tell the family to mention you when they call, or send me a note yourself, so I know you're involved and can be in touch if coordinating would help.
Useful but never required: what prompted the referral, what's already been tried, who else is involved, and anything the family has already been told.

Working with a setting rather than an individual child — for staff who have a child they're struggling to support, or who want to make a room work better for everyone in it.
What it can cover
Environmental assessment of a room — noise, light, layout, transitions, storage. Routines and schedule structure. Sensory strategies a whole group can use. Specific support around one child, with family consent. Staff coaching on reading and responding to escalation.
How it works
Usually an initial visit to observe the setting in ordinary operation, problem solving with you around what changes would help, and written suggestions. Ongoing arrangements are possible where that's more useful than a one-off.
Fees: $150/hr
